In 2023, PVABazaar established trade relations with Mr. Kyabuta, our sole provider of malachite products. Based in Lubumbashi, Eastern Congo, Mr. Kyabuta has supplied PVABazaar with some of the finest malachite, chrysocolla, pink cobalt, and over 40 other semi-precious and precious gemstones sourced from his province.

Operating under challenging circumstances — frequent electricity shortages, regional instability, and limited shipping routes — Mr. Kyabuta and his team of artisans continue to deliver exceptional quality. Sadly, the dangers of the region have even cost the life of one skilled stone-cutter. This reality drives our mission to support and strengthen his workshop.

Our goal is to invest directly into Mr. Kyabuta’s facilities, upgrading equipment, modernizing tools (many dating back to the 1950s), and improving logistics. Even with outdated machines, his workshop already produces some of the best stonework in the world. With proper investment, their potential is limitless.

Recently, when a generator breakdown halted all production, PVABazaar provided emergency funding to replace critical parts and restore operations. This is just one example of how we stand by our partners.
